DRIVING SMOOTH PRODUCT EXECUTION AND DELIVERY: FANCITY'S WEB3 PRODUCT CULTURE

IN THE BEGINNING:

FanCity creates a Web3 Ampitheratre for Fans and Creators alike. With the launch of its web platform, users gain limited access to creator collectibles, events, subscriptions, marketplace to hold and trade Creator tokens and wallets for Crypto and Fiat transactions. As the Product Owner on the team, I led the cross-functional team in executing the stakeholder vision for the product through a creative and deliberate approach to launching a unique platform and measuring team effort to prodcutivity levels.

I made use of Project Management tools like JIRA and Trello in effecting best practice Agile processes on the team which recorded a 50% increase in team output efficiency.

Before I left the company, I was able to commence plans on Gaming features that would further positon the application for adoption market fit during the next versions roll-out.

MY CONTRIBUTIONS:

• Transformed the company in an Agile process focused organization which cut across its team and even operations.
• Micro-managed the product development team in executing prioritized items in the backlog.
• Improved trust and transparency on the team in embracing incremental work and quicker outputs without fail.
• Ensured synergy between the team and stakeholders was never lost.
• Curated high level technical documents in collaboration with the CTO.

RESULTS:

• Introduced a creative UI concept resulting in 4 signed partnership agreements with B-list Nigerian Celebrities and overall stakeholder satisfaction
• Introduced seamless user experiences to aid non Web 3 specific users better interact with Web 3 elements like NFT Collectibles, Fiat and Token wallets, Token Metrics and Marketplace etc.
• Streamlined collaboration with cross-functional teams, reducing development times for new features by 20%
• Collaborated cross-functionally to communicate product requirements effectively, fostering a shared understanding among stakeholders and contributing to a more streamlined decision-making process.
